Fashion almost overshadowed music as Rita Ora performed tracks from her latest album at The Abbey Club in West Hollywood on Tuesday evening.

The singer opted for two contrasting outfits ahead of her latest gig, held on behalf of music streaming service Spotify.

Leaving the Hotel Bel Air with a group of friends, Rita, 28, caught the eye in a bizarrely mismatched co-ord that attempted to blend a plain faded denim right half a heavily patterned left – with mixed results.

 

However the outfit was merely a jumping off point, and Rita soon changed into her second of the night shortly after arriving at the venue. 

The singer, currently promoting second album Phoenix, traded her co-ord for a distinctive blue techno jersey jacket from Italian fashion house Miu Miu.

As for more details on the new era, Minaj was less direct. “I can’t say if I’m 50 percent, 80 percent or 10 percent done, because I don’t know,” she said. “Tomorrow, I might walk into the studio and decide that I don’t like anything I’ve done in the last six months. Or tomorrow I might walk in and feel like the whole album is done. There’s so much beauty in not knowing.”
